Your tax assessment notice is available in E-tax.
- If everything looks okay, you do not have to do anything.

- If you need to change a tax assessment notice for a previous year, use E-tax to enter your changes under 'Ændre årsopgørelsen - tidligere år' (Change your tax assessment notice - previous years).
- If SKAT receives new information for your tax assessment notice, we will generate a new one. If you have provided your e-mail address in E-tax, you will receive an e-mail notification.
Log on to E-tax to see your tax assessment notice
Under 'Ændre årsopgørelsen eller indberet selvangivelsen' (Change your tax assessment notice or file your tax return), you can click on the amounts in each box to see who reported them.
You can see more details about the reports in E-tax under 'Personlige skatteoplysninger mv.' (Personal tax information etc.). Select 'Alle nedenstående grupper, hvor der foreligger oplysninger, vist samlet' (All groups below where information is available, shown together) to see all information.
In 'Personlige skatteoplysninger mv.' (Personal tax information etc.), you can also compare the amounts in the preliminary income assessment and the tax assessment notice by selecting 'Forskuds og selvangivne oplysninger mv.' (Preliminary information and information filed in tax return etc.).
You can change your tax assessment notice several times up until 1 May. Every time a new tax assessment notice is generated, it is given a new tax assessment notice number. Keep an eye on this number so you always know which notice is the latest. All your tax assessment notices are available in your tax folder.
However, in the period 5-15 March, the tax assessment notice will not get a new number even if it is changed as it is only a temporary tax assessment notice in this period.
If you discover after the 1 May deadline that you need to change your tax assessment notice, you must 'reopen' it. You can do so up to four years after the end of the year of taxation. This means that the tax assessment notice for 2013 can be changed until 1 May 2017.
As of 14 May, it will be possible to electronically reopen the tax assessment notice for 2013 in E-tax. Select the 'Ændre årsopgørelsen - tidligere år' menu item (Change your tax assessment notice - previous years).
The tax assessment notice for 2012 can also be changed by electronically reopening it in E-tax. Select the 'Ændre årsopgørelsen - tidligere år' menu item (Change your tax assessment notice - previous years), and select the year 2012.
