Above, you get a general idea of when the lines at SKAT are busy.

You may expect longer waiting times if you are calling about securities or have questions relating to businesses or foreign issues.

Alternatively, you can send us an e-mail.

When SKAT has replied to your e-mail, you need to access the reply using a password. It is important that you choose a password that you can easily remember as SKAT cannot tell you what your password is or give you a new password.

Please note that you will only be able to receive personal assistance at a tax centre in special cases and only if you have made an appointment.

If you are in doubt about the tax implications of a transaction you are considering, or a transaction which you have already carried out, you can - against an application fee of DKK 400 - obtain a binding ruling from SKAT or the Danish Tax Assessment Council (Skatterådet). You can request a binding ruling here (please note that the page is only available in Danish).
